A day on site with SKALA

A day on site with SKALA

A drawing only becomes a building when someone stands on site and makes sure it does.

This is how we run a typical day on one of our sites, because the quality of a finished home is decided in these ordinary hours.

Morning: walk the site

The day starts with a walk-through: what was done yesterday, what is planned today, what has changed. We look at levels, alignments and the weather, because a heavy monsoon sky changes what can be poured or plastered.

Midday: check the details

With the contractor and the site team we check the work against the drawings — reinforcement before concrete, openings before walls close, waterproofing before finishes. It is far cheaper to correct a detail on paper or in steel than in a finished wall.

Afternoon: decisions and materials

Materials are checked as they arrive, samples are compared with what was approved, and any decision that has come up on site is made with the client in mind and recorded so it is not forgotten.

Evening: report

We close with a short update — photographs, progress and the next day’s plan — so you always know how your project is moving, even from a different city or country.

That is what “builders who deliver” means to us. Want to know how we would run your project? Book a consultation.
